Unlike traditional doctor visits, which are generally very short, the initial The HFM Zone appointment will be extensive (and, to be honest, lengthy … about two hours). You will start with a consultation with Dr. Holden, to discuss your previous medical history, any current health concerns, and any goals you’d like to reach within the year.

After seeing Dr. Holden, you will have the following tests performed:

A full body scan that shows body fat and muscle mass percentages

Metabolic Rate Test:

This test measures the oxygen that the body consumes and calculates your Resting Metabolic Rate

This noninvasive test checks for underlying heart conditions by measuring the electrical activity of the heart

You will also have comprehensive labs drawn for:

  • Advanced cholesterol testing
  • Thyroid and Cortisol testing
  • Diabetic/prediabetic screening
  • Hormone levels (if applicable)
  • Common Vitamin and Mineral Deficiencies
  • Vascular Inflammation
Other testing may include:
  • Vascular screening
  • Bone density testing
  • Genetic testing
  • GI functional medicine testing
  • Toxin profile
  • In-depth nutritional profile
  • Food intolerance testing
  • Other diagnostic studies as appropriate

During your second visit, Dr. Holden will review the results of your testing and develop a customized plan just for you. This plan will include healthy lifestyle changes, targeted supplementation, diet and exercise recommendations. Stress reduction and hormone balance will also be addressed. Then we’ll meet with you on a regular basis to make certain you are meeting your goals.

Your personalized plan may include the following:

  • Develop a proper regimen to reduce health risks
  • Build a strong foundation of muscle mass
  • Learn and monitor your muscle mass and body fat using HFM’s bio scan – Reduce inflammation

  • Learn and practice proper diet habits
  • Develop a supplement regimen for your body’s specific deficiencies
  • Uncover possible food intolerances and understand how to address them

Stress Management

  • Manage life
  • Get back a sense of vitality
  • Balance deficiencies to allow the body to naturally reduce stress – Reduce stress on the heart
  • Learn lifestyle options to manage stress
